We didn't order a proper meal, only a croissant and a pastry , I asked for the croissant to warm, so the cheese would melt, but it was barely warm, and the cheese hadn't melted - I could of asked for it to be heated further but I didn't.we had 2 hot chocolates, nice and very chocolatey but small - next time would definitely order a large, then it might be a normal size.Staff are very friendly and service was very good.
Stumbled across this cafe looking for a coffee but ended up having lunch! Delicious dukkah salad with poached egg , while my daughter enjoyed a GF grilled chicken sandwich. Very accomodating for dietary needs.
Love this cafe! Friendly, efficient wait staff and a lovely menu. Meals are always spot on, definitely worth a visit!
Over the weekend, we stumbled across this Birds of a Feather cafe beside Newport train station in Melbourne while in the area attending property inspections. It was an early inspection and we thought we should get something to eat. We had ham cheese and tomato croissant with coffee to go, and we were surprised by the quality of food and the attractiveness of the items they had on the menu. We decided to head back there for lunch when we had a break between inspections. For lunch, we were spoilt for choice. We really liked all of what we saw staring back at us. I could have ordered a few meals even though I should have only one. The staff is friendly and attentive. The outside seating was not cramped and allowed dogs to dine with patrons (outside). There were heaters to keep us warm as we enjoyed the cool autumn air. When the food came, I was literally enjoying every bite!I would strongly recommend everything to go if they would like a peaceful, neighborhood cafe that will blow you away.We give Birds of a Feather 7.5 out of 10.
I used to frequent Nosh (back when it was good a long time ago!) and decided to give these new guys a go after a recommendation. We had breaky / brunch and I have to say it's the tastiest breakfast I have had in a long long time.I had the avocado on toast (minus the feta and eggs) I expected it to be like many other cafe vegan breakfast, dull, bland and would leave me hungry. This was not the case at all. It was filling, full of flavour and highly recommended. The corn and potato fritter and house relish... delicious.Almond latte yuck and watery but the soy was lovely.Staff were lovely, attentive and efficient!I'll definitely be back!
