The Lewinnick Lodge - Newquay

The dining experience was enjoyable, and the atmosphere was lovely. Our Sunday dinner was very pleasant.

We've been visiting Leifick for many years, and it holds a special place in our hearts since we celebrated our wedding there. After waiting three years due to COVID, we were eagerly anticipating our return, but it didn’t feel as friendly as it used to. We had made our reservation well in advance and specifically requested a table by the window, but this was not accommodated. The person who served us, possibly the waiter, seemed detached and not very welcoming, which left us feeling a bit disappointed. After driving all the way out of London, it was disheartening to have our first negative experience in over a decade. The food was good, and the breathtaking view remains unforgettable. We're hoping for a warmer welcome during our next visit!

The service at the restaurant was extremely disappointing. We weren't greeted upon arrival and had to seek assistance ourselves. We were seated in direct sunlight, which was unbearably hot, and when we requested to be moved, the staff responded, "Everyone finds this table hot." They didn't have any mint for our mojitos, and we had to call the waitress to order more drinks. When our drinks finally arrived, they were taken back immediately to collect the empty glasses. The pace of service was incredibly slow—we only managed to drink two cocktails during our second visit! They even brought our appetizers to the wrong table. I had to tie up my chips when they placed my plate down. My steak was overcooked, and when we asked the waitress to help us book a taxi, she simply said, "I can't." For £84, which included one starter, two meals, and two cocktails, I expect much better service. I've received better service at McDonald's!

Once again in the lewinick lodge great eating and drinking with views of the sea and the fistral beach it really won't be much better!

Sunday lunch amazing meal in terms of both quality and value. Lovely table overlooking the ocean. Only slight negatives were starter order didn’t get to the kitchen before our mains came out, quickly resolved and with an apology from the staff member involved, and my partners wine choice was sold out. Even with these issues I’m giving 5 stars as the meal itself was of such a high quality
