Dig at Newstead

Great coffee and great food to start of a beautiful Sunday. Highly recommend the pancakes. Staff really friendly.

Highly recommend the pizzas particularly the sweet potato, if you want a hot hot coffee this is the place to be, plus you get real tea leaves in the lovely teapots, try the earl grey.

My old hometown of Newstead (I come from Hilliers Street) is seldom all that warm and welcoming in the depths of winter. Fog and a gloomy chill is par for the course on arrival, and one naturally gravitates toward the warmest place you can find! Not hard to do! Very satisfying coffee and choc cake (lunch was scheduled in Castlemaine).

Great Chia, gluten free chocolate cake, friendly staff. A group of us locals meet up to do the Age quiz.

My wife and I and our travelling companion dined here on Saturday evening 11th March 2017. It was a very welcoming place, the staff very pleasant, helpful and the food nice. We intend to return again in the near future.
