Comella's Restaurants West Newton

For almost $50/tray of 1/2 buckets, 75% of each tray was plain pasta, not even tossed in sauce. None of the 3 trays I purchased had nearly enough sauce. Veal was overcooked and tough. Honestly, pasta and jar sauce from the supermarket would've been better. Definitely not worth the almost $200 for $40 of ingredients, and poor execution.

What happened to this place? This was the worst pizza I’ve had in long time. tasted like undercooked dough with tomatoe puree right out of the can, no flavor, under cooked onions and broccoli! a mess, tossed it in the trash. But at least they got the order right this time. Not the case the last three times. This used to be a great place! Not any more..

I had high expectations for the new restaurant in Newtonville, but unfortunately, it has been quite underwhelming. The avocados that they charge extra for were not ripe enough to enjoy in their salads. The chicken was dry and overall the kitchen needs to pay closer attention to the quality of their dishes. The service was decent and the atmosphere was fine.

I have always enjoyed the food at this restaurant, but I must address the issue with their outdated West Newton address still being listed on Washington St. It is important for them to update their address or mark this location as closed.
