O'hara's Food Spirits - Newton

I had lunch here with some friends, and the rustic atmosphere was delightful. The staff was very friendly! I ordered the shrimp tacos, but I ended up regretting that choice afterward.

I've been dining here for over 20 years. The family that runs the place and nearly everyone who works here is fantastic, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to providing quality service and food.

My mother and I had a pleasant Sunday dinner at O'Hara's, but I have to be honest and say it wasn't particularly remarkable.

I was visiting family in the area and decided to check out this restaurant based on recommendations from others. Overall, it was a decent experience. We tried a variety of dishes from the menu, and nobody had any major complaints. For a pub-style place, the menu was quite unique. I particularly enjoyed the shepherd's pie I ordered. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the service was friendly.

The restaurant was bustling with customers, but this didn't affect the service or the quality of the food at all. I tried the Cherry Bomb burger, which was an excellent choice! The atmosphere was vibrant, contributing to a great dining experience. The menu was impressive, featuring many classic pub dishes, many of which had delightful twists. On a side note, the wings were perfect—crispy, not dry, and accompanied by a fantastic blue cheese dip. The prices were reasonable for what we got. The staff was exceptionally well-trained; they provided attentive and knowledgeable service while knowing precisely when to step back and let us enjoy our meal. The manager was around but unobtrusive, handling the busy environment with impressive ease. Overall, a very well-executed experience.
