Additionally, when you pay for the extra-large portion, it's unclear how the chef recognizes who has ordered it, as all the plates are the same size. It would be helpful to have a ticket system to indicate who is entitled to the larger portion. The chef was also asking everyone whether they wanted one or two Yorkshire puddings, which means that those paying the same price may not be getting the benefit of the larger portion that some customers paid extra for. A solution could be to have different-sized plates to better differentiate portion sizes.
I arrived at the restaurant and had to wait for a turkey dish to be served, while the pork and gammon were almost depleted, and it was only 6:45 in the evening. Even though I paid for the extra large portion, the cook and the servers seemed to treat all portions uniformly in size, which was disappointing. They should issue a ticket for those who ordered the larger portions. When the cook asked if anyone wanted pudding or Yorkshire, it was frustrating to see that those who paid extra were receiving the same portion size as everyone else. They really need to consider using different sized plates for the various portion options.
