Great selection of baked goods. The quality lies well above the supermarket 'been there for a few days ' type bread, but falls just short of a top end bakery. We 've tried the rye, olive, and onion breads have all been very good. Their muffins are great too. Just picked up some of the blueberry crumb yesterday, and my kids devoured them for breakfast. I like Just Loaf 'n. Very solid part of the Newtown Farmers Market.
Let your nose do the walking and you will find the most delightful little bake shop with all the home made sweets you could want to remind you of a visit to Amish Country. My faves are the apple dumplings, the peanut butter protein balls, pumpkin roll, pies, and the sticky buns.. If you want to bring a nice comforting dessert home def make a stop at this place! Boom!
While most of the bakery sweets are heavy, their icing is wonderful. I have sampled many of their buns, cookies, bars, cakes, and they are all fun to eat. My favorites are the Apple Cake which reminds me of the densely moist version my Yiddish grandmother made on most holidays, and the Lemon Bars which are equal parts tart and sweet with powdered sugar dusted on top, and a firm crunchy base. Both are addicting and require self control to make them last.
We LoVE the rolls and the pastry. All I've had is excellent. My friend has to stop buy for a longhorn donuts. They are nice and have seen them hand making food. Always taste great n fresh and they offer some gluten free items too
