The Saloon Newtown

The restaurant was nearly empty. The bartender and a waiter were loudly chatting from opposite ends of the bar, making it impossible for us to hear each other. We ended up leaving because of it. The atmosphere felt very much like a bar—bright lights, no music, and not at all inviting.

Always delivers great food! The prices are reasonable. I often eat here.

This was our first visit back to the Saloon after a disappointing experience on New Year's Eve, and I’m happy to report that it was fantastic! Everything exceeded our expectations, and when I brought up New Year's, the manager was understanding and offered an apology. I'm glad we decided to return and am looking forward to dining there regularly!

We frequent The Saloon as our favorite local Italian restaurant and are always very pleased with the food, atmosphere and service.

Service was very slow. My Sirloin was terribly overlooked. It tasted awful. I couldn't eat it. I reached out nicely to the restaurant twice to talk about this. They never responded to me. I guess they don't care. They lost a patron. Plenty of other restaurants that treasure their guests. I do NOT recommend this restaurant!
