Coming in right before lunchtime, the staff were quite flustered and unorganised to get the dishes out ready for lunchtime. There were a lack of options and the dishes such as the duck required a 5-10 minute waiting time. It was definitely worth the wait though, the 'duck ' was delicious and perfectly seasoned while the soy pieces were too salty. The barbeque steamed buns were fluffy and the filling is great. You can choose amongst a variety of vegetarian/vegan dishes such as staples of rice and noodles and dishes like soy pieces, duck, curry, steamed buns and stirfrys. They even offer sticky rice with mango or banana as dessert. It was a pity that I dined at the wrong time as the piping hot noodles and other dishes came out when I left so I would definitely come back during lunchtime at 1pm. Vegan or not, you should check this place out.
To satisfy our Thai craving, we visited this quaint little eatery in Newtown. What the place lacks in 'restaurant ' ambience, it more than makes up for in wonderful and tasty food. I took a curry plate, whereas my wife tried the Black Bean and Tofu Fry. Being used to and liking a spicy taste to the food, both of us found the dish to be on the bit blander side, which was fixed by adding some chilli sauce. However, the black bean and tofu fry was quite peppery and could have done with less pepper. ..

Blossoming Lotus is a nice, small joint on King street which serves amazing vegetarian Thai food. We came in a group of three and ordered curry puffs, a duck curry, pad see ew and three servings of rice. The highlight of our meal was the curry with the faux duck meat which was quite delicious and all the flavours worked really well together. As well as this, the rice we ordered was plentiful and more than enough. At the end of the meal we were all full and even got to take away! All of this was under $40! Will definitely be coming back soon!
Always delicious, great value vegetarian/vegan Thai food. Friendly service. Some dishes can be on the oily/salty side but still tasty and for the price, I'm not complaining! A regular lunch spot :
