Jack's Newtown

I read about the mixed reviews of jack’s and decided to give it a try, the only way to find out right?/ I was surprised to find it quite quiet on a Saturday. there were only two other couples, i.e. only six people, including my partner and me. No one arrives during our stay./ we ordered what we are here, cheeseburger and pommes. the cheeseburger tasted good, the pattie was juicy, but slightly salty to my wish. but it was abandoned by the rolls. I remember that a reviewer mentioned some roasted bread, but ours were cold as if they were taken out of the refrigerator and something cooled. cold in the mouth. they were soft, but sponge soft, instead of fluffy soft, but certainly not roasted./ the big farewell was the pommes. they were nicely crowded, but only lukewarm to touch. the fold-out pommes had no nice potato taste, but tasted like cheap frozen packed pommes from the super market. they were slightly oily and the oil tasted slightly unpleasant. this was one of the few paintings that were ridden half finished. we were really disappointed by the quality.We had a coffee after jack’s in campos coffee. also after that the unpleasant taste of the french dwells and we need to get some mint to get rid of the taste./ jack is probably no longer the popular connection it was once. at least not the day we tried. there is much better choice in newtown, just go to mary’s or as the previous review suggested to the marlborough hotel directly opposite.

Tries to order a jackenburger from the delivery car and was recommended that they no longer deliver jacken burger. jacks is much better than fairy tales and they must come with an alternative arrangement menu, uber, foodora ect.

I've heard mixed reviews about Jacks and finally had the time to go for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was only a handful of people, luckily wasn't very packed and food came quickly(which is good cause I'm hungry). Had the delight in eating a juicy, tasty and addicting cheeseburger with fries and also ordered jacks sauce on the side which was so yum! Salty? Of course it would be salty, it's burgers and fries for crying out loud, that's the best part! However, I was looking forward to Jacks crinkle cut fries not French fries and also the custard shakes were out of order.. bit disappointing. So far a good experience at Jacks, can't wait to try other places in Newtown!

The Cheeseburger tasted nice, the pattie was juicy but slightly salty to my liking. But it was let down by the buns. I remember a reviewer mentioned slightly toasted buns, but ours were cold like they have been taken out of the fridge and slightly chilled. Cold to the mouth. The crinkle cuts fries did not have nice potato taste but tasted like cheap frozen packaged fries from the supermarket. They were slightly oily and the oil tasted slightly unpleasant. This was one of the few times the fries were left half finished. We were really disappointed with the quality. We had a coffee after Jack's at Campos Coffee. Even after that the unpleasant taste of the fries lingered and we have to get some mints to get rid of the taste. I guess Jack's is no longer the popular joint it once was. At least not the day we tried. There are much better choice in Newtown, just head over to Mary's or as the previous reviewer suggested, the Marlborough hotel just opposite.
