Maggies - Newtown

This place was pretty awesome Visiting from America, I did not know what to expect.

I like the look of this place And been to a few similar places in the area that put out good food to large amounts of people.

Being a lover of meat dishes, my expectations of this restaurant were high.

Its my go to place for a birthday or special occasion.The menu is fantastic and the service is good. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for that little more special meal in newtown. BYO but for heavens sake make sure its quality drop to match the food.

Ambience leaves a lot to be desired ie Formica topped tables, very white not inviting restaurant. Don't let that put you off as it hides a gem. There are so many Thai restaurants in Sydney (apparently Sydney ranks 2nd to Bangkok for the number of Thai restaurants). So it is hard to stand out so all I can say is there is a small menu clearly so they can focus on everything being fresh and cooked to perfection.
