Sporting Plage - Nice

We came here with our 8 month old baby and had a wonderful time. The staff was so accommodating and moved furniture so that we could fit our stroller. The beach was beautiful and there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas. They had mats between chairs and leading to the ocean because the stones were so hot from the sun. It was useful for people like my husband and me who forgot our water shoes! We ordered drinks and food and the service was prompt and efficient. I would definitely recommend going to this beach and enjoying all there is to offer here !

Great beach experience for 2 days BUT yesterday, family had three tables (separate bills) with about 13 people total and as soon as they started bringing the bill they started - HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO ADD TO THE BILL FOR MY TIP! Is this a new thing in Nice? If the menu says SERVICE COMPRIS - I suppose Larousse changed the definition. Really crappy way as they would have gotten the tip but not the "AMERICAN" 20% they were expecting - The management of these places knows what is going on but it continues. You people ruined a perfect rating and even though visitors are a dime a dozen in Nice will do everything to publicize this new trend.

After 9 years Sporting is still the best beach club in Nice. Madam, Remi and the rest of the staff work tirelessly so u completely relax. Ronnie the lifeguard has made our holiday with great restaurant suggestions. What a culinary delight we have experienced!

The Sporting Plage has a contract with the Hyatt Regency and they take advantage of their clients.I called the place without telling them that I am from the Hyatt. They told me that I can book two chairs and there is no need for extra chairs for my children as they will be playing on the beach. I then contacted the Hyatt and told them to book the two VIP chairs. When I arrived, I was told that that I have to take four chairs. Then they started speaking to each other in French, not realising that I understand it. The assistant told the manager to give me three chairs but she said that I have to pay for four. I felt that I am being taken advantage of coming from a five star hotel. I agreed to pay for four chairs, then she told me that I have to pay the same fee for four chairs at the back because they have bookings . Their front chairs were completely vacant with no clients, bear mind I have a booking for two upfront anyway. Their tone and and choice of words were terrible. We decided to leave and walked to the Lido Plage which is facing the Hyatt. They gave us four upfront chairs and offered us free drinks. The service was amazing and the food at the Lido was fresh and delicious. I had a look during he day and the it front raw still has many places. The Sporting Plage should not take advantage of their contract with the Hyatt and try not to rip off the Hyatt clients. This very poor a deceitful practice.

The best place to relax under the sun as you lie down on a sunbed. The facilities are fantastic, the enviroment is relaxing and the staff is friendly. Everything is clean and almost brand new. I had my best time in that place, I relaxed, I enjoyed my drink/snack which were served to me by smiling people Also, there is a lifeguard at that private beach club which means that they respect and take care their clients.
