Waiting was 45 minutes and no complaint as a major party on a Saturday night would be longer. The service was that with inconsistent sequence. The order of drinks (mox of alcoholic and non-alcoholic) was ok. Ordered food. Important issue ordered some pretzel sticks made to snack during meals. They didn't come to the main meal. At different times, food brought a dish out 10 minutes before everyone else. Sliders baked. Tempura Sushi was so and relatively bland. No soy sauce. Teriyaki Chicken was good, but served cold. I'd give them another shot, but not sure about this place. They gave us two $5 vouchers for the next visit.
Food was great! We stopped on a Sunday night. Appetizer was great!! We got the chicken stall. And I have the California Roll for my main course. It was fabulous. Taste really fresh. I'm sensitive to old seaweed, so this was great!! The staff was also great!! Would recommend!
Absolutely phenomenal! We got bar service on a Tuesday night with our bourbon society and we did not expect what we would discover. Brittany (slaying it in those Doc Marten?s) has created, let alone perfected the Eagle Rare Old Fashioned. We have drank more old fashioned?s in a lifetime as a group than the gas that it takes to drive a Dodge 1500 across the country and this is without a doubt the best Old Fashioned we have had, right here in Nicholasville. 12/10 would recommend.
Drakes is a decent place. Great service food was fine nothing fantastic. The Buffalo chicken wraps were ok. Kind of scary for my taste. Cole slaw wasn't very good. My wife have the turkey avocado grill. It was decent in her words. The nacho appetizer was pretty good. Server was great. Overall not bad. But could have been better.
While out enjoying a weekend drive, Fat Man Reviews made its way to Drake's Brannon Crossing in Nicholasville, KY. Drake's is a small chain with 18 restaurants over 6 states. Drake's is open for lunch, dinner and late night eats. We started with the BLT Tots, a large order of tater tots covered in creamy ranch dressing, chopped bacon, shredded iceberg, Roma tomatoes, and scallions. The tater tots are out of a bag, but they were cooked and seasoned to perfection, with an excellent crunch. The ranch tasted homemade and was creamy and though maybe a tad salty. The bacon was cooked well and added a good bite. The lettuce and tomato were fresh. This is a large appetizer that could easily be a meal. My fiancé tried the Mini Cheeseburgers and a side salad. This comes with three minis, melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickle. Ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard can be requested on the side. The burgers were cooked well done, and we're slightly dry, but the melted cheese helped that. The bun and veggies were fresh. The salad was a BLT salad covered and mixed in ranch. I decided to try the Buffalo Chicken Minis and fries. The dish is three chicken sandwiches with buffalo sauce on butter toasted buns, blue cheese(ranch is available) and lettuce, tomato and pickle on the side. The chicken was cooked well and gives you nice portions. I would not mind a bit more sauce on the sandwich. The blue cheese looked and tasted as if made in house. The buns again were fresh, and the fries, came from a bag, but were cooked well also. Drake's Brannon Crossing offers several sandwich and burger options. They also offer Aqua sushi, 20 beers on tap and a full bar. They have several TVs throughout the restaurant, so this is a great place to watch a game. The service was pretty good. The Fat Man says that Drake's is Fat Man Approved.
