We stopped by Sonny’s in the evening for a family barbecue. I ordered the whole hog sandwich combination, which included sliced pork, pulled pork, and slices of jalapeño cheddar sausage links, served on a bun or garlic toast, along with a side and a drink. My wife had the smoked turkey dinner, featuring sliced smoked turkey breast and two sides, while my daughter enjoyed the cubed sandwich. Everyone loved their meals and found the food to be hot and fresh, although the turkey was a bit dry. The service was outstanding, and the restaurant was very clean. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

This was our first visit to Nicholasville, Kentucky, in December 2021, but we've been long-time fans of Sonny's. The dry-rubbed ribs were massive, and the service was outstanding. The turkey wasn't quite up to Sonny's usual standards, but it was decent, and the rest of the food was spot on.
