Wildwood Grill and Tavern - Nillumbik

I met up with friends for Sunday lunch yesterday after 18 months since my last visit. We decided to sit outside as it was a warm day. Despite a private event happening inside, the service and food quality remained unchanged. The garlic bread and calamari appetizers were a tasty start to share. The steaks were cooked well and the barramundi was excellent. I found the pricing to be very reasonable, coming out to $55 per person for a group of four, including dessert and about 10 beers. Overall, the restaurant is still a winner for me and the fact that it is close to home is a bonus!

Had a meal here tonight and I thought the food was the best I have had for a long time. Great service, very good value for money. I had the barramundi which was cooked perfectly and I tasted the veal and lamb and they were both great too. Had the eaton mess for dessert and was not disappointed. Will definitely return again soon.

Had dinner last night at Wildwood.Food was amazing .. we ordered the salmon as an entree and pork belly and chicken for Mains.The sticky date pudding for dessert was also amazing.Service was great .. food did however take a while to arrive but was well worth the wait.

Came for dinner with friends . Nice food. 3 of us had flathead & my wife the gnocci, she said it was really good. Plenty of room around the table. Family friendly.This restaurant has been here for many years with different owners along the journey. 40 years ago it was called the brown house restaurant. Good for us as it is close to home.

What a beautiful restaurant this is. Service of the waiters is fantastic - they greet you at the door like your a friend! The food though is outstanding! My husband and daughter loves pork belly and has stated that this is better than any you find in Germany or anywhere else. It is so tender and well cooked it melts in the mouth. The other selection of food is amazing! From entree to dessert you can not complain about the quality of food. I took my staff of forty there for Christmas lunch last year and they accommodated for us with ease and created a beautiful Christmas spread from seafood to meat to vegetarian to gluten free to dairy free. Nothing is too arduous and the pride they take in their food and service is outstanding.I am nervous writing this review because the word will get out now on how great this hidden gem is.
