The Mayors Place - Nipomo

The Mayors Place is a very quirky restaurant. I can't say that I have dined here, as it is only open for breakfast and lunch. Locals love this joint, as it is reliable, friendly, and fun. They will customize, and are very open to your special wishes

As you can see from the other critics, this place is not only expensive, but they take an extremely long time. My daughter had eggs and pancakes that made her feel sick after eating. The eggs were boiled and runny and the chicken fried steak burrito is $20 and absolutely the most terrible thing I've eaten in a long time. The steak is well overcooked ground beef, the engraving tasted old and greasy. I was afraid I'm getting sick. You seem very nice and I'm sad to give this review, but no, just no. I don't understand how this place gets 4 stars.

Most excellent Sunday breakfast. Food was 5 star as well as the staff. Not very large inside, but patio seating can accommodate up to 20 25 people. Inside was full of mobilia of distinguished patrons. Meet a veteran who's photo was hanging on the wall when he was in the service some 50 years ago, plus the ex Mayor of Nipon was there as well. Would have given a 5 star, but eating in the patio attached the Nats and Flys since there was an open field near by. Great, great place to have an experience.

Nice family owned breakfast/lunch place. Great staff large portions. The breakfast was very good.

OK so it doesn?t look like much from the outside. However, the food? Oh the food. I only wish I had a second stomach to get some more of what is on the menu. Whatever you get, rest assured, it will be great. The service is very friendly and you feel like you?re in there every day which most are, seems like a locals favorite.
