For a fly of the moment walk in and order to go 2 meals with sides of say it worth a visit the inside is open and friendly based environment. The outside which is limited to seating has a very nice outdoor sitting nice place just to eat and talk with family or friends even your date would love it with its just calming surroundings and views. The food was really prepared well in taste and presentation was pretty gd made it much more appetizing. Over all this place is unique in its own way. Thumbs up on the server very polite professional and courteous. For my 1st visit will keep it in mind on my future visits I really like the environment it has.
We went on November 2nd to celebrate a birthday. The food was not good at all. My husband didn't even eat his meal. He said it tasted of dishwater. Maybe the fish was old. He ordered Fish and Chips. I ordered the Fish tacos. They were very bland and the salsa that came with it was very dry. The best thing about the meal was that our waiter was very attentive. The atmosphere was very quiet but inviting. Needless to say we won't be returning unless a new cook is hired.
Food was great. Excellent crab dip! Service was great. Lovely setting on the water. Will go back again!
Called ahead for a party of 30. We were told they could accommodate us with a 30 minute . No problem it would take us 10-15 to get there. We arrived and was told no one called them and they can’t accommodate us. Restaurant was mostly empty!! It could have been staffing issues. We even said it was ok to split the group. What ever comes available, just seat us , groups of 4 or 6. This manager refuse to do this!! She started seating other parties that came in while we were there. We just took our money elsewhere a $1500 easily!! Never again
Hello,My husband and I took my mother and aunt (who was celebrating her 86th birthday) to Surf Rider located at Bay Point Marina in Norfolk. The one she normally goes to has closed down. Her favorite meal has always been the lunchtime scallops. Unfortunately we learned they only serve this dish on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I spoke with Dustin, the manager on duty to see if he could make an exception. His reply was no; with an explanation that this was the owner’s decision and though it has made a lot of people angry; that is just the way it is. Dustin also told us this new policy went into effect just three weeks ago. I tried to talk my aunt into ordering the dinner time scallops. The higher prize wouldn’t have matter to me. However, at her age, and being fixated on the “lunchtime scallops” my aunt ordered the fried plate that she didn’t enjoy that well. Perhaps a better and more impressionable way to have handled this was to allow my aunt to have her “lunchtime scallops” since she was unaware of the change and on future visits we’d come just on those particular days. Now we have agreed to find a new restaurant all together. It’s a shame that the owner (our server told us his name is Chris Bennett) is more concerned with enforcing his new polices than an elderly lady being able to enjoy her traditional birthday lunch.
