The park is opened from sunrise till sunset. The Pagoda was closed when I visited. I assume it's a small restaurant open to the public. If you bring your own food, there's tables outside to sit and enjoy. The pond was covered in nets and flags and there was no sign of Koi in the pond, so I'm guessing there's a predator. You can see everything here in five minutes. There are benches around for relaxing. You can also stroll along the edge of the Elizabeth River. This park is squeezed between residential areas. There's parking on one side of the park and residential street parking near.
Nice place for an evening walk and to watch a sunset
The pagoda was donated by Taiwan ROC government in 1983. It was well maintained
The owner was very rude and disrespectful to me and my whole group. Made us fell very unwelcome. Wonderfull atmosphere just rude staff
We stopped by right after we arrived on a dreary Saturday afternoon. What a beautiful pocket of oasis in the middle of Norfolk area. We thought the whole walking experience was lovely even with two beagles in tow. I was able to find street parking very close to the structure. I am unsure where most people actually park. There is no bathroom nearby as Yooni, the YelpCoVA CM warned us ahead of time. What a great tip. We made sure all kids have gone prior to our visit. The garden inside was immaculately kept and no dogs are allowed to potty inside. The signs are available to remind us which got us spitting out to the neighborhood for good 10 minutes prior to visiting again. Unfortunately, the Pagoda and the Garden was closed for Private Event by the time we returned. Oh well. Next time perhaps. 3.5 star rating rounded up for an otherwise pleasant visit.
