Cake was a chocolate muffin about the size of a spoon. Ice cream scoop was smaller than a spoon, and...it was served in a spoon. Literally, the entire serving of ice cream was in a single spoon. There was a pillow of whipped cream bigger than the cake and ice cream together.
Spacious and clean rooms at this city centre hotel that is well suited to both business and tourist access. The hotel has its own parking and is only a few minutes walk from the town hall. The building location is striking utilising a historic...monastery building that is several hundred years old. Inside, it feels like any other typical business hotel. Reception staff were efficient and friendly.
We stayed in NH Hotel Klosterle for two nights to see the two walled medieval towns of Nördlingen and Dinkesbühl, and also the massive fortress Harburg and huge monastery Abtei Neresheim, in the Franken/Schwaben region of Bavaria. Well worth the experience! The hotel is very...near the central market square (where they have the Christkindl markt) and pedestrian area and a short walk from the train station. Parking is limited inside the town walls, but the hotel has ample underground parking (for a fee). The hotel is built on a 13th century Franciskaner Monastery, which is where the Klosterle Restaurant is. The staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. We had buffet for dinner the first night, which was very good, and the breakfast buffet was really impressive. Our family room on the third floor had a view of the hotel's front area (although further view was constrained by the old tall monastery building). The room was quite big with the entrance area on the right was the toilet, on the left wall a series of cabinets extending until the minibar and safe deposit box. There is like a living room with a desk and chair, and a big sofa bed with a side table and TV infront with many channels. The double bed was also big with 2 side tables and reading wall lamps. The toilet was comfortable with a bath tub. Free WiFi was avaIlable. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in an excellent hotel, experiencing a wonderful area.
Regular hotel and good food at the restaurant. We ate here and found the food properly cooked. Staff speaks fluent English so easy to interact and ask for quick translations. Recommended.
The hotel is located in the old town, but is easily accessible by car. a garage - 8.5€/24h - with direct access to the hotel is available. our room was enough for a night, the bathroom was rather small. There was a free bottle of geroldsteiner. the flat-screen television was a little small. On the morning it was a bit loud in the flur. The breakfast was very good. The ladies at the reception were very friendly.Price/performance was absolutely in order.
