There are not many restaurants in the area so I was lucky to find somewhere serving reasonably priced local produce. I chose to eat outside to enjoy the afternoon sunshine and watch the world go by. Although I dined outside I can say that the interior of this restaurant is comfortable and in keeping with the historical appearance of the building. The staff are extremely polite and knowledgeable about the food they serve. My first language is not German so the waitress that served me was most helpful in helping me to select my food. I would highly recommend the mushroom soup and roast beef salad. The menu is not extensive but still offers a good choice at reasonable prices. If I return to the area I would definitely visit again. I really enjoyed my meal and the hospitality I was shown.
Good food. Friendly people. Ideal for a lunch while biking the area. Regional dishes in a kind of fancy setting. We'd go back.
In general, the oldenburger hof is an old-occupied restaurant and has been in family ownership for generations. before the restaurant was known for its defigent spears and lush portions. that seems to have changed with the change of generation 2010, the son took over the lead. later operation of the young service was friendly, attentive and fleeting. they didn't have to wait long for drinks and feed. we had the oldenburger hof classic bark soup with a small bark at 3,00 €. she tasted very good, but it was only 1 small mark in a soup pot. the service addressed to it has apologised and immediately a supplement from the kitchen can happen. as the main course there were rucolasalat with baked torte goat cheese, cartoffels red planks with honey rosmarinschmand balsamico cream at 11,50 € and the 14 days intars sour roasted with homemade serviette dumplings, apfelrot crumble salad at 16,50€. no warning. I let him come as an appetizer. all ingredients were fresh and of good quality; unfortunately no love. what both were missing was the gratification, somehow without pepp. the meat was buttery, but how to be fed by 3 extremely thin slices. the soda tasted too fad, from acidic no trace, the red crumbled was boiled too long. for 16,50€! also the rucolasalat could not score due to quantity and quality. more kartoffels than goat cheese, too much honey, too little balsamico, without peep. all in the average, that's just enough for 3 stars, the price-performance ratio only for 2 stars. we have beautiful cozy padded beer garden chairs in the hof with headstone paved. Unfortunately, the traffic of the road is disturbing. they disappoint the newly designed bright interiors, here lacks the original cozyness that fits so beautifully. the toilets are still from the 70s; green flowing, green sanitary facilities and as light source windows made of glass building blocks. cleanliness inside and outside
