Airport Pizza - Nome

This is possibly my personal favorite pizza in town. Pretty big portions and the toppings are pretty good.

I wanted to give this family business a good review. I ate here twice while in Nome. Once, we ordered a pizza to share and found the wedge salad to be great and the combination pizza was very good. Service was friendly and nice. They have several large screen TVs which was great during the NBA Playoffs : I came back myself (my partner was busy on a gold dredge to watch another playoff game. Sat in the bar and had again, friendly attentive service and basic mozzarella sticks which were hot and good. I also got to meet some locals which added to my entire trip! Yes, the inside could use a bit of a spruce up, but hello, you are in Nome.

Slow service! Not everything on the menu is available. My experience is that many of the liquor and beers were not available. We ordered two pizzas and had the chicken ranch pizza and the unique Korean bologi taco pizza. The chicken ranch pizza was super greasy but tasted good. I loved the Mexican Korean fusion of the bologi pizza but it was so watery and wet that it soaked the crust. The flavor was delicious though!

In Nome anything looks good. I could walk over and get our order. No gourmet required. Will order from them again next summer.
