We were craving onion rings and although they were not on the menu, the restaurant was able to serve them to us. We ordered a serving of onion rings and the $11 fish and chips meal, which was just the right amount for 2 adults and 1 toddler. The fish was cooked perfectly, the chips were delicious, and the onion rings were amazing. We took our food across the road and sat under a tree on the grass, enjoying the beautiful weather and watching the world go by. It was a perfect day with perfect food.
Our family had a wonderful lunch experience at this restaurant! The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating, making our meal extra special. We had the option to choose from this restaurant's menu or the Italian restaurant next door, both owned by him. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the beautiful view added to the ambiance. It's a perfect spot for a casual lunch outing.
Best chips ever. Top 5 best chips I've ever eaten and I'm over 41 years old so I've had a lot of chips in my time and with the chicken salt, I thought I'd died and gone to fish and chip heaven. Our gourmet salad was good but didn't think it was that gourmet. Some lettuce other than iceberg can not be justified as gourmet. The salmon was good but how did you cook it so quick? It was a big piece of fish did you bag it and boil it first? Found the barra and the snapper OK but a bit on the smelly side so it made me wonder about the freshness. Will be back for your chips again soon.
However, when I visited in April 2018, I found that the restaurant had potential, with good fish and chips, but was let down by the small size of the place and excessively loud music. The musician seemed to have his amplifier turned up too high, making it impossible to have a conversation over lunch inside. I felt that this kind of loud music would be more appropriate for a pub, rather than a small restaurant, and as a result, I would not consider returning if the amplified music continued. Overall, I found this aspect of my visit to be disappointing.
The caffe near the resort am ufer. it looks a mix of native and holidaymakers, family friendly. good place to sit and soothe day. the employees were all smiles and happy to serve, thinking. a buzzed by and asked me if I liked water... Super pleasant and bubbly .. as their work she said. water was nice and cold for a warm day. enjoy a tumeric latte perfect for afternoon tea without caffeine. the tables were visited and quickly deleted. they were on the top all on a pretty busy day. a bit of music in the background was ok. can order at counter or table scan. laminated menus on some tables. few tables inside and outside plus some high top seats in bank style sitting front and watching boats and people.
