Delicious Italian food, thin based pizzas, very fresh pasta and the best service we have had in Düsseldorf. Also on a lovely side street quiet and away from the crowds.

We were walking through the side streets of Dusseldorf old town and spotted this Italian restaurant. Sat outside which was nice. Ordered main course only both based on calf meat, Ossobucho. Drinks good, service good and food ok.

We stopped in this restaurant and what a dreadful mistake it was! We ordered two drinks and two pizzas. It couldn’t be more simple. None of the waiters had informed or updated us about any delays and we couldn’t actually track one down. The couple next to us had their starters and mains while we waited patiently. After an hour and twenty mins we still had not received our food and had obviously finished our drinks. No attempt to get us more drinks and the pizza was apparently still coming. We left with the echos of “pizza coming 5 mins” and no apologies. Terrible place and real shame because the rest of Düsseldorf has been great. Would not recommend.

45 minutes had to wait to make an order and continue 15 for our drinks. the obviously overwhelmed waiter was extremely rude and excited. Eating was quite moderate. my pizza was laff and lukewarm. the spaghetti bolognese were ok. the carvings too. but the whole thing would have been better, cheaper and faster at the snack and at the corner.
