I visited this café after 5 years of last visit. It is a great place to taste Turkish foos or have coffee with the DELICIOUS Kunafa of all time!! Recommended for everyone
Good coffee and baklava, but it costs 13 Euro 2 coffee and 3 pieces baklava). The same on the road towards the station was only 6 and coffee was better!
My colleagues and I went to Damla for a cup of hot tea and a Baklava. For lovers of Middle East candy, this place is a gold mine. There is a wide selection of different types of cakes at very reasonable prices. The decor is...not something to remember, but the service is great and the owner is friendly. If we will return to Düsseldorf.
On Damla I have bought Baklava for several years at irregular intervals. Here it tastes best for me: juicy and crispy at the same time. I prefer the Baklava with pistachios. I've never bought anything from Baklava in Damla. The store itself has always made a very recent impression and, in my opinion, does not invite you to stay. This is very bad, as the counter looks pretty with the Turkish ridges like various Baklava cakes and cookies. Right next door there is a small room that looks a bit more cozy with its oriental flair. Today I was back at Damla. Apparently, the big room is being renovated there. The sale takes place in the small kabuff next door. The service at Damla is unfortunately the same. I was lucky today. The lady was friendly and fast. But there were also more days when many employees behind the counter made me feel uncomfortable for the customer. I bought a box with 15 pistachios baklava today. Should be 500g, I didn't check. It cost 9€. Surely not cheap, but I'll feed on the next days.
