In search of Chocolate Mousse, I found this delightful Moroccan restaurant that delivered on the goods! As the name states, Carriage House, it is actually a redesigned historical carriage house with the charm of a small intimate restaurant. My boyfriend had the paella which he was very satisfied and stuffed. Can't wait to revisit. 5 stars and more.
Lamb shank was a tough and fatty knuckle, hardly edible, very disappointed.
I still dreaming of the mussels with Gorgonzola cream sauce and truffle fries sounded odd cheese on shellfish but I’m glad I took the risk and ordered it! The escargot wasn’t the best though overpowered with aromatics that u couldn’t taste the escargot itself. But everything else was great so was the service! Cozy nice and quaint!
Well, Definitely not the best. I had spotted this place on a walk and thought it looked very quaint so I decided to go with my S/O and some friends. Service was great but the atmosphere was odd, tables huddled very close along with no music so when people were talking all together it was like you were trying to have a match of “who can have the loudest conversation”. All of that would have netted this place a 4 star but the food was disappointing, good appetizers but i had ordered the grilled bistro steak. The steak was ordered to medium rare but was medium when arrived and cold! Along with undercooked brussel sprouts and absolutely smothered in sauce and tough beets. Not much fine dining if the steak is cold and not cooked to order. I thought it may have been a fluke so I tried my friend’s chicken and it was extremely dry. I’d give it another try but be skeptical.
