Wow, what an incredible meal with outstanding service! I can't believe this is the last month to enjoy it. The escargots were delightful—tender helix snails simmered in white wine, butter, garlic, red peppers, and parsley. The Moules Provencale featured slow-cooked mussels with garlic, Bermuda onions, and tomatoes, all tossed in a light wine cream sauce. The Solomon Exohiko was a highlight, with pan-seared salmon topped with a delicious medley of spinach, feta, and fresh dill, wrapped in crispy filo pastry and baked to perfection. It was served with a creamy avgolemono sauce and fresh asparagus. The Gratin De Fruits de Mer combined shrimp, scallops, and lump crab, all topped with melted cheese and baked in a rich lobster sauce. Finally, the Bouillabaisse was a must-try, with shrimp, clams, mussels, and the fresh catch of the day, slow-cooked in a fragrant saffron broth and finished with fresh lemon juice and parsley. You must visit before July 15th, 2023!
They don 't make 'em like Voila anymore. There 's nowhere as classy, as kind, and as genuinely tasty as Voila in Norfolk. Voila will be sorely sorely missed when it closes permanently on July 15, 2023. (Reservation only until then. It has been a family go-to, a personal favorite, and the best celebratory spot period. From the amuse-bouche to dessert, it 's a fabulous experience. The cocktails are insanely good (they could honestly charge double what they do for these . The freshly made caesar salad is a classic. I 've always loved the shrimp Athenian appetizer (prepared with pasta to make it an entree! . But the star of the show is the scallops and risotto. Each bite is eyes-rolling-to-the-back-of-your-head good. And the crème brûlée!! Oh man it just gets better and better. No more words. Sad to see them go, but so appreciative for the memories and countless wonderful evenings. Thank you, Maggie and John!!!
