Very bad food and lousy service. We have never eaten badly Turkish cuisine. I have become ill after eating few bites. The food was served after 45 minutes. Yet we were alone in the premises. Very poor yields for the currency.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, however, the management is disorganized. The staff are uninformed about the entertainment schedule, leaving patrons waiting for hours without any updates. The wait time for both the show and drinks is inconsistent and frustrating.
Ich habe hier zum Essen gesessen. Ausgezeichneter Service. Gestarted my der Saksuka gebackene Aubergine/Quash/Mushroom/Garlic/Tomaten kleine Platte my Brot, die ein nettes war.
As a Turkish person and a big fan of Turkish cuisine, my expectations were extremely high when I visited Konak Restaurant in Oslo. The restaurant was beautifully lit and cozy, reminiscent of old historical places. The friendly smiles of the waitstaff, their attentiveness, and the soft ethnic background music created a great initial impression. However, the real highlight was the food. After dining in many high-quality restaurants and even enjoying meals cooked by my dear mother, I was blown away by the food at Konak. I can't find the right words to describe how perfect it was for me. They even had Turkish beer, which always makes me happy. I was too full for dessert, but I have no doubt that it would have been equally fantastic. The Turkish coffee was also amazing. As someone who is very critical of Turkish food outside of Turkey and my mother's kitchen, I was pleasantly surprised by Konak. I would give them a 9 out of 10, just because I felt like something was missing.
