I went through the area looking for vegan options and happened on this beautiful and old fashion dinner. I loved the relaxed and warm atmosphere full of returning mistresses. I tried her delicious vegan chocolate chip banana pancakes but had a little stomach annoyed afterwards. I didn't ask if the butter used was vegan, but I thought it was, I would make sure double check before ordering. Her vegan cupcakes and other pastries looked delicious, but I watched my sugar intake so I wasn't able to taste them at that time. Although her freshly squeezed orange juice was a nice addition to my pancakes. (I did not prefer the taste of their tap water).
Watch vegan, vegetarian and GF options if you have a group meeting with different nutritional restrictions! Very friendly staff, open seating area! Various menus, my daughter loves the baked items, and they also sell good bread.
Pros: All-vegetarian menu with several vegan options (including baked goods and several vegetable milk! , cozy atmosphere without feeling crawls once actually sitting, freshly pressed orange juice, local art on walls, black owners of small businesses. Cons: If there is a line, it quickly reaches the door, and it is impossible to give others who wait 6 feet of social distance. It's easy to feel when someone stands right behind you. Wish the menus were more visible from the back of the line (I pull the website on my phone to get this! Special thoughts: I have been making breakfast for a few weeks (end of June 2021, and every time there is a kind of line, but it usually moves fast. There are plenty of seats in the morning. The regulations will chat in accordance with you, which helps to pass the time quickly! You order at the counter and get a plastic number to put on your table, so an employee can bring your order to you, and after your meal bus your own table by placing the dishes to a certain place in the middle of the cafe. Vegan elements on the menu and in the bakery case (see photo are displayed with a V marker. I got the coffeehouse hash, and my husband got the tofu-cramble (which he covered in Valentina's hot sauce before I could get a picture. He ordered it both times that we left so that a support from him! We also have one of the apple strudel to share, that was tasty and delicious! My husband is obsessed with her fresh orange juice. The staff was polite and helpful to even go so far to bring me the tasteful syrup bottles so I could read the ingredients before I ordered. (London Fog is vegan-friendly if you choose a vegetable milk by the way! I recommend oat milk for it. I love to support a small, black-owned company instead of a large chain, especially with such a strong plant-based menu! I wish they would be less on milk and eggs for some things that almost-vegan, but at least my spouse and I can have any different vegan options and actually have choices. I will also recommend taking my older parents here so that they can get some heart-health options (vegan foods do not have a cholesterol.
Nice coffee shop within easy walking distance from the train depot. Has vegetarian food and salad options in the addition to the coffees. I had the chai tea latte, which was good, though it could have been a little stronger with the chai flavoring for my taste.
