180 Meridian Grill - Norman

I've wanted to try this place for awhile and unfortunately not impressed! The food was not bad but the place is NOT clean. Restroom was disgusting and the whole area around our table was pretty nasty. The worst part was the service, this place is being run by a bunch of young people that are like most young people these days, more concerned with themselves rather than the customers. It wasn't very busy but still our waiter couldn't manage to keep water in our glasses and totally forgot we ordered drinks. We will probably not be back, the service ruined it for us!

Love their half price sushi (4:00-6:00pm every weekday) so good and so cheap ? especially the Red Canyon roll. Best sushi in Norman. The tempura cheese fries and Thai tea are also excellent. Atmosphere is nice enough for a first date but casual enough that no one would look at you funny for wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Service can be very slow.

Two at our table ordered the seafood Islander. It was supposed come with shrimp, crab, scallops, and squid. It came out with tofu instead of seafood. When asked what it was the waiter said, that 's tofu . We said we ordered the seafood islander and he said, yeah . Then he had to go get a menu to check if it was supposed to come with anything other than tofu. He went to the kitchen and came back and said, we have new cooks and they are confused. If you like, they can make the seafood and dump it on top of the tofu . We declined.

My boyfriend and I went to 180 Meridian back in February. Do not go here. It was recommended to us for the happy hour sushi, and we went in not expecting much. It took over an hour to get four rolls of sushi, it wasn't properly cut, I found plastic in the sushi, and it had not even been scaled correctly! Absolutely disgusting. It's pretty bad when I can get sushi from a Chinese buffet restaurant that is better than a restaurant marketing itself with its sushi. The waiter didn't come to check on us for the whole hour, and it took forever to even get drinks. During that hour long wait, they had music blasted up so high you couldn't even here yourself think. Too loud of an atmosphere, disgusting food, and horrible service. Never returning here again.

I worked here for a while and I loved it. Tom is the best boss I have ever had (I've had about 9 bosses so far). He is highly ethical, trustworthy, has your back, and will always step in to help if you are struggling to keep up during a rush. If you are looking for a part time or full time job, I highly recommend applying. I also ate here often while working, and I definitely think coming during happy hour is the best deal. Regular priced food is still decent!
