Cocina Don Miguel - Norman

I went in Friday night about 10 minutes before close to pick up shrimp cocktail for my boyfriend. All the girls were beyond friendly! It's definitely a family atmosphere. I had a michelada while I waited and my food was ready quickly. I can't wait to go back in for a sit down meal. The food was great. I loved my tamales!

Solid Mexican. I got the lunch special Torta. It was pretty good and reasonably priced. I will be back for more, it seems like a more authentic place (not tex-mex).

This is my favorite Mexican place in Norman. I love their fajitas so much that I frequently order a bunch for take out and eat them two days straight. The owner has always been incredibly friendly and regularly helps carry food to my car when I get an amount that's slightly difficult for one person to carry. The service is laid back, the type of place where you might have to ask for more water, but they always happily get whatever I need and have been really nice. I was sad to see this place didn't have a higher score, so I just really wanted to give my positive opinion. It seems like people either love or hate this place, and I love it.

I might be a bit biased here and then again maybe not. One of the owners is an acquaintance for the past few years and have tried his food at church activities for several years. The food and service is excellent. They have many years of experiences but this is the first restaurant that they have opened on their own. The food is authentic and some of the best chips you can get anywhere. My recommendations are the Chicken Mole when they have it on special but daily the Enchiladas and Guisos are delicious. The spicy salsas are great and they can specialize your order especially if you want a shrimp guiso or other spicy guiso. The owners are excellent people who have an excellent business. Please give one of the best Mexican Restaurants in Norman a try. Here and Pepe Delgados are the only authentic sit-down restaurants in Norman. Tarahumaras still has tex-mex on the menu so I do not really count them. I live in South OKC and this place is good as many authentic places there.

The best Mexican restaurant in Norman!!! I am Mexican and it is difficult to find an authentic Mexican food in US, but this place it is really good. The food is fresh, make from scratch, and you can make your dishes like vegetarian option, I ordered my food with potatoes. That it was awesome! The menu is great but you can ask for the specialities of the day.
