Red Star Buffet - Norristown

Granted this location was occupied by previous unsuccessful and similar restaurants but I hope this one stays around for a long time. This particular buffet I found to be very comfortable as regards seating and atmosphere. They have most of the common items you would see at a Chinese buffet but I believe their quality is slightly better. They generally have a person creating fresh sushi rolls and there is a hibachi grill in the center of the buffets. I think I counted 6 buffets. The staff is very hospitable and personable. They have a few flat screen TVs that are strategically placed with close to the ceiling area. This has become my new lunch spot during the weekends afternoons.

This buffet initially does not offer as much choice as lin or pacific, both comparatively expensive Chinese buffets. second, it didn't taste so good.

Here is the deal, I evaluate this on a Chinese buffet scale, not a general restaurant scale I think is fair, I would normally never wonder in a buffet.

I believe that every time a new restaurant opens here, it ends up closing within a few months.
