The staff was accommodating and provided a replacement, but charging $3 for just two pieces feels excessive. The waitress mentioned that it was how she preferred her bacon cooked, but there’s a clear difference between crispy and burnt. Our total came to $32 plus tip for two subpar breakfasts. There were a few other tables occupied at 8 AM, but when we left, we were the only diners remaining, which doesn’t bode well for a Sunday morning when many places are usually bustling. Additionally, I overheard one of the staff discussing almost getting a DUI the night before, and I spotted another employee carrying Bisquick into the basement, which raised some concerns about their food quality.
We visited for breakfast on a lovely day and decided to sit outside. The waitress was friendly and attentive, enhancing our experience. The food was excellent—I had a ham and cheese bagel that featured a generous piece of ham instead of the typical thin-sliced deli variety. It also came with delightful little potato puffs that I absolutely enjoyed. While I'm not particularly fond of their desserts, I must admit they do look appealing. Overall, I would definitely return for breakfast.
We've been visiting this place since it was called SoupWorks, through its time as both SoupWorks and SweetWorks, and now with the unified concept of NorthWorks. The comfort food menu is fantastic! My boys, who are quite picky eaters, absolutely love the chicken tenders meal. Personally, my favorite is the Baja fish tacos. The recipe has evolved a bit over the years; while I appreciate the use of smaller fish pieces, I do miss the grilled cone shape, as it was much easier to eat. Regardless, it's still absolutely delicious! And let me tell you about the cupcakes—wow! They are incredible! We ordered from them twice last week and will likely do so several more times while we navigate through this COVID situation. We hope you all are around for a long time!
North works is a hidden gem. First time here and this place is great. Will definitely be back. The staff is great. Our server was very friendly. We ordered the kids French Toast and bacon. I ordered the blueberry pancakes which were delish with a side of there bacon. My husband had English muffin with egg,ham and bacon which came with there potato cakes. He said the whole thing was delish. He also had the turtle caramel latte. So glad we stopped in.
Wanted to grab a quick breakfast before heading out to do some crazy Christmas shopping, Yelp led us here about 2 1/2 miles away from Emerald Square Mall. Street parking but there was plenty of it the place is small and if you drive too fast you'll miss it. Look for the green awning, it's located across the street from Town Hall. The place was small but cozy. Service was extremely friendly and fast. While we waited for a table to clear up, we salivated over the cupcakes and other bakery items in the showcase. I wasn't tempted by them...look away, look away! We both ordered french vanilla coffee great flavor. I had the florentine benedict and my sister ordered the Kryptonite. I really enjoyed my meal I typically get regular eggs benny and these were a nice fresh changeup. I gobbled up my entire plate. Only downside is I didn't realize until after we left was that I didn't get a side of fresh fruit as stated on the menu. It was fine just thought it was strange they forgot it as well. Would def come back for a nice breakfast and might sneak in a cupcake the next time around!
