Best Southern Soul Food I have had outside of my family.
We arrived about 4:30 (they close at 6:00) to the TV blaring. Very nice waitress took our order. Food was served in styrofoam to go boxes. It felt like we were interrupting. The food that we were served seemed as if it had been sitting most of the day and we got the leftovers. It was not the quality that I expected. The table had crumbs and dried food on it, I cleaned it myself. I have heard such wonderful things about this restaurant and was looking forward to trying it, the wait staff was wonderful, that’s just not enough to bring me back. So glad to hear that you are doing such a great business so I won’t be missed. Edit to ad. The TV was blaring because (the waitress said) the owner wanted to hear himself on a TV interview.
The food is really good and I got my money's worth.
Me my coworkers had lunch here it was a very pleasant experience. The food was hot, fresh, good. The server took care of us kept our drinks full. Forgot to get picture of the food but the pork chops were huge (had enough to take home). The sides were well made tasted great. I had to take the Red Velvet cake home. It was big enough to share for sure had a great taste. Will absolutely be back. Prices seemed very reasonable. Dining room is a casual “home cooking” style, but clean well maintained.
