My sister, who has a disability, needed clothes for the wake and funeral, so on our way back home, we decided to stop at the Turf Room. Our mom loved their chicken farfalle pasta and short ribs, which reminded her of dishes her mother used to make—what a compliment! We also tried the tempura stuffed mushrooms and the chocolate torte cake, both of which were fantastic. When our waitress informed us that someone had covered our bill, she wouldn’t reveal who it was. Whoever it was will surely receive great blessings in the future! People can be incredible, and I can't thank them enough for such a generous gift that truly showed how much they care.
The Brussels sprouts were a bit of a disappointment as well. While they were good, I expected more from a classy place like The Turf Room, having had much better elsewhere. They tasted primarily of salt and pepper and could really be improved. On the positive side, the grilled veggies were delicious! Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience; we had a fantastic evening and enjoyed some delightful drinks. We will definitely return, but next time, I’ll skip the ribeye and Brussels sprouts.
I was really impressed with the pork chop I had last night—its flavor was outstanding! I was slightly surprised that it didn't come with a side, as all the other dishes in that category did. I'm glad we ordered an appetizer; the duck wings were fantastic and had a great orange flavor. The service was decent, though the staff at the front were very welcoming. I love the atmosphere; it's charming inside. This is our second visit, and we will definitely return. We might come during the week instead of on a Saturday.
Very dimming lighting. the server was a funny guy, but at the same time professional, so actually human for us. the drinks are well made with the right balance. the deenpot stickers were very juice, but not greasy. the most important courses were so full and tasteful. I really liked the towel with him, the palette ready for the part of it to eat next. the creamy butter for the tasty brot is made with the right amount of salt and sweet flavors that you could simply eat on the butter alone without the brot because it was like Greek yogurt. the bathroom is confusing to find as everything is horse and stable themes, but I must say that they are very well maintained for the small one-room. the tee and the water were very clean tasting at a point to have a natural sweet when they drink with everything they drink and eat. the prizes are higher for dinge that sounds so easy, but they get what they pay, as it is pure art, that they take, so they take the time to enjoy it. this place is very family-friendly, as I saw a child party in the next opposite, someone with their lonely older friend, there are an evening outside before I met the city, and people like we try to enjoy something beautiful from the outside world of distractions.
