A real old fashioned seaside town cafe feel about it with the wooden chairs and tables having been there from the 70s. Take a look back at the photographs and ask questions. They are only too happy to oblige. Food could be warmer though
Tasty food at reasonable prices Like to sit in and takeaway food is good simple bowls of soup and toasties but done right although side salad needs improved Popular and busy seaside cafe kept within the family and hopefully always is
This cafe has a traditional seaside/High Street vibe with a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and there is a free-to-play old Wurlitzer jukebox. The food is delicious and includes all the typical cafe dishes such as all day breakfast, soup, baked potatoes, sandwiches, toasties, filled rolls, fish and chips, and speciality coffees. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. As a person with coeliac disease, I appreciate that the owner is knowledgeable about gluten free cooking and most items on the menu can be made gluten free. I highly recommend this cafe, whether you have coeliac disease or not.
121 years run by the same family, this friendly Italian café has certainly got experience. Homemade ciabatta toastie with mozzarella and fresh tomato is delicious. Homemade lasagne is very tasty. Very fresh salad and chips as sides. Choice of teas and coffees and soft drinks. Helpful staff. Fabulous Wurlitzer jukebox. Worthy destination after walking the superb beach along the bay from Ardrossan.
This is our second visit to this local cafe in Saltcoats and once again we were not disappointed. Friendly attentive staff with subtle music from the Wurlitzer jukebox. Decent menu, well presented food and tasty too! Worth a visit if in the area.
