City Perch Kitchen - North Bethesda

I got harassed by the 2 bartenders,3 servers and payed. Why? because there was a manager who heard me out. I was accused of being confused when I knew exactly where I was going. They were all nervous. Don’t know why. There’s plenty of diversity to go around. The corruption took over and the servers gave me the cold treatment immediately when they were at fault and harassed me/racially profiled me. Even the bartender smacked my stomach without no cause. And tried to shake my hand. I can understand being friendly but you have to be careful. The manager improved my experience. These things shouldn’t be this way.

We made our reservation on Resy about an hour before and arrived approximately 15 minutes early. We were greeted by Johnny (spelling? who was very friendly, respectful and was immediately able to seat us. As we walked to our table, I requested if there was any outdoor seating available. Johnny was able to accommodate our last minute request and seated us at a small two-top right on the railing, overlooking the lively neighborhood. Our waitress was very friendly and she was very attentive to our table until about halfway through where she was no where to be seen. Another, also welcoming, staff member assisted us with drinks and eventually our check. Between ordering drinks and receiving them was about 15 minutes total. Our last one almost didn’t come until we asked for the check. However, it was well worth the wait as the gin specialty drink was PERFECT and the lavender vodka cocktail was bursting with flavor without being too sweet! Definitely recommend. The food was great. The duck poutine fries were cooked medium and had enough gravy to enjoy some left over fries. The Perch Burger was crafted well and tasted a little more than your average burger. The miso salmon was also juicy and the glaze truly made the dish pop! I think next time I will have the herb roasted chicken as that sounded really good and I saw one pass by. Overall, great experience and great atmosphere. Johnny was a stellar host that went above and beyond. The manger was very accommodating and made our dining experience enjoyable. Holly was very friendly and the other server who helped us at the end was very efficient and helpful as well. Try City Perch out. It’s a great place with a lounge-like atmosphere with good eats and tasty cocktails!

This restaurant has a wonderful ambiance—quiet and elegant—making it perfect for business dinners or quality gatherings with family and close friends. The service was average. The night we visited, the restaurant was nearly empty, yet the wait times were surprisingly long, both for getting seated and for our food to arrive after ordering. The food, however, was quite good. The grilled salmon was very fresh and tender, and the crab cakes were flavorful with a crab taste, unlike at many other places where they tend to be overly salty. The short rib was delicious and cooked to perfection. The truffle fries were just okay. As for parking, there's a garage behind the restaurant with free parking for up to two hours.

I had an amazing experience with the bartender. The drink Rimy made was exceptional, also took the time to explain the menu, which was very helpful, ribeye steak is really good, The bar and restaurant's decoration is stunning. The ambiance is both inviting and stylish, with a perfect blend of modern and classic elements.

Nice place next to a movie theater . The outside area with the balcony and street view is cozy with the city feel. Service was great. Nice twist on a calamari dish with artichoke and Fresno pepper.
