Be prepared to wait 5 minutes as you look for a parking spot if you go during peak hours. The inside of the restaurant isn't big but it has a really nice atmosphere. It was busy during lunch rush hour but our group of 4 didn't need to wait to be seated. The service is fantastic and very friendly. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and it really was delicious but I didn't think it was amazing or spectacular. I wouldn't say it's overpriced because you are paying for the entire dine-in experience. Overall it's a good restaurant and I would recommend.
I would have never visited this restaurant if it wasn't for my friend insistence The name of the restaurant threw me off, but I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised The place was almost empty when we first came in, but suddenly the place was packed, it was an older crowd We ordered the calamari as our appetizers I had couple of margaritas and my friends had the Oakville tropical drink We proceed to order dinner I had the lemongrass shrimp and my friend ordered the scallops, good was exquisite, so was the service We share carrot cake which was moist and delicious
We went there for lunch and the atmosphere was nice. the waiter was very nice and courteous. the minestrone soup had minimal amounts of vegetables and under seasoned. the hamburger was great .I highly recommend that for lunch I ordered the lemongrass shrimp and rice. it was poorly seasoned and sent it back as butter not even salt could fix it. I ended up getting the avocado crab tower. While nice tasting there was a sprinkling of crabmeat all for 22.00. Very disappointed. Matchbox crab tower is 1/3 crabmeat and far better. Would recommend their sister restaurant next door.
Located in North Bethesda in a nice strip mall. I found this place by complete accident. My wife and I were looking to try someplace new and they had a Groupon+ offer so we decided to give this place a chance. This place is very cozy. Not too big and not too small. As you walk in you see all these pictures of famous people and politicians who have eat her. This was my first clue that this place must be good. Since we came for a late lunch and had not eaten yet that morning we were extremely hungry, so we did a quick look at the menu and ordered away. In the mean time they served warm complimentary raisin cinnamon bread. It was extremely good. I could of just ate that the whole time. We ordered the eggplant dip, wild mushroom pizza, ahi tartar, crab tower, tenderloin and salmon. About half way through we realized our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and there was no way we were going finish all this food in one sitting. The portion sizes are huge!! Anyway, everything was extremely good! The tenderloin was one of the best we've ever had. The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained. As for our waiter Elias he did an amazing job. He was personable, friendly and got all our orders correct without having to write anything down which I thought was impressive. Can't say enough good things about this place. We hope to get back here soon. Keep up the amazing job Oakville!!
Been passing by this place for years but never gave it a try because I had a false initial impression that it would be one of those pretentious type of places with over-priced average food (personally i think there's lots of those places in DC). But my first experience was great. The service and courtesy, from the host to the server to the assistants, were exceptional. We got the rockfish dish and the ahi tuna salad. The portion of the rockfish entree was much larger than other restaurants I've been to but tasted so much better. It was perfectly blended with orzo noodles and some type of buttery sauce. The ahi tuna was tastefully seasoned with some form of fried breading and the dressing was crisp and refreshing. The price of most entrees are in the upper $20 range but I think its reasonable given nearby competitor price points. Their creme bulee dessert wasn't my favorite but their great service and main entree items more than offsets that. Plan to go back again.
