Food is delicious. Best tasting bahn mi, che dau, and cha lua. But, I've gotten major stomach problems several times from the meats. Please keep your deli meats refrigerated better. I am thinking about buying from Baguette House instead because these health problems just are not worth it.
Very good banh mi, had the house special and strawberry shake. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the jelly they put on the bottom.
If you are from a city with good Chinatown food like Houston, LA or NYC then you will not like this restaurant. Banh mi beef is so blend, looks like steamed rather grilled. Bun bo hue is terrible, nothing tasted like it. Stir friend noodle is so oily and beef again is so blend.
This is a small, simple Vietnamese sandwich shop located in the Chinatown shopping center at North Lamar and Kramer Lane that has decent, inexpensively priced banh mi and other dishes. I’ve also gotten the fish and rice porridge, which I liked a lot. It’s really tiny inside—maybe 5 or 6 tables. We’ve been many times and they’ve always only taken cash but I see their Google listing says they take cards and nft payments? Honestly I’d be surprised if they started since they were pretty dead set on cash only (especially since I think that’s how they keep the prices down), so I’m leery of the accuracy of that info. Anyway it’s worth a trip but make sure you have cash if you need it.
