I strongly recommend this place to anyone of all culture, friends, family and lovers. You can fully be yourself and not feel uncomfortable or judged. The energy is genuine and just simply fun. Looking for a spot J'secret is the place to be. They also have fun and exciting events. My favorite is date night and night life.
I was so glad a soul food resturant opened in my area. I think they would improve if they taste the food before they serve it. The fried cat fish was good but very salty. The kale was not done, but seasoned well. Mac cheese did not have tasty quality cheese. I give them an A on the price they are much cheaper than Delta’s. However the food doesn’t compare.
The food was amazing, we ordered the BBQ chicken juicy and tender which came on a bed of rice cooked perfectly! Also the catfish was so tasteful and seasoned and the breading on it fried just right, the oxtails were so juicy and tender falls straight off the bone I would definitely recommend to friends and family. A great place and for the price i cannot complain One bit
Had the J Chicken and Ox tail plus an array of sides. Delicious.
Learning it was finally open, my wife and I went for some takeout. It's got a very nice atmosphere, including a pool table and chess set to play with while you wait, and very friendly staff. Their menu is concentrated on classics. My wife got the catfish, which was cooked perfectly, and I got ox tails on a bed of rice, which were very flavorful. We both got macaroni and cheese, which we both enjoyed. My other side was green beans, which were soft and slightly salty. I liked them quite a bit. My wife got dirty rice as her second side, and a banana pudding which she enjoyed. They also gave her a sample of their fresh squeezed lemonade which was refreshing and mildly sweetThey are still setting up a bit, but it's well worth going now. I recommend it.
