Shogun Sushi - North Charleston

It’s just as wonderful now as it was when we first started coming here years ago. We always feel like family. My daughter and I enjoyed the steak and shrimp lunch combo, which came with rice and vegetables. The food is exceptional and the prices are great!

This place was busy when I arrived. It's settled in a run down looking shopping center, which is on par with the surrounding area. There are many asian theme decorations about the restaurant and a tv playing an asian channel. There was only one waitress and one cashier. I was seated quickly and served a drink within one minute, my food was out very quickly after ordered. The steak hibachi was cooked in teriyaki and the pork fried rice had many pieces of pork and egg mixed throughout. White sauce and teriyaki are at the tables in squeeze bottles with hot mustard at request, also in a squeeze bottle. The steak was cooked medium well and came in thin cubed strips. Overall the quality was what is expected of a place such as this, nothing special. The staff seemed nice but didn't show that they were fluent in English. I don't think I'll return anytime soon, but I will return to the other Hibachi Hut which isn't much further away from me. I do not think they are related to each other though, the menu is different and the themes are not the same.

I just had the coleslaw soup, and I expected more from it. The flavor didn’t really appeal to me. However, my friend had the chicken and shrimp lo mein and said it was quite good. I would definitely visit the restaurant again.

Absolutely incredible! The curry sauce on my steak and vegetables was outstanding! The presentation was also fantastic!

This place is amazing, was my way to lunch for years, service is great, always have remains.... I'd give them 10 stars if possible! This is handmade fresh Chinese food, not typical to take off!
