We generally come here once a year for lunch, lots of family birthdays close together! Carvery pretty good, and something for everyone. Had the turkey and beef this time, both incredibly good. Good range of vegetables and side dishes. The Yorkshire puds were not the best, unfortunately, and the meal did seem to get cold very quickly. The desserts, as always,were amazing ! We had a selection and no one could fault them! Would be happy to return.

Came here with family for a lunch, I myself had the steak and ale pie and it’s one of the best pies I’ve tasted in a long time. Fantastic food, fantastic service and stunning views, definitely gonna be visiting again soon

We have enjoyed the Sunday Carvery for many years before Covid as it was fantastic we visited December last year and unfortunately the food was mediocre,mushy veg ,overcooked potatoes ,no seasoning and tasteless gravy .We did not return until October this year and the food was amazing again . We returned this week and frustratingly the food had the same issues ,greasy overcooked potatoes, no seasoning tasteless gravy and badly cooked veg we were so disappointed ,Unfortunately it is too expensive to take a chance on how it will be on the day.Also check your bill as we have had to query ours each time and it was incorrect having been charged for drinks or food we had not received.

Fantastic event. we had our high-time reception here on 12/11/2016. helen was amazing, very professional and nothing was too much annoyed. eating was incredible and all guests were very impressed. very competitive prices and would highly recommend. many thanks to all at portmore for making our day
