We had 2 x delicious home made steak and kidney puddings, large portions, really tasty and a home made cottage pie, again delicious and a large portion. We shared a dutch apple pie, home made and fabulous with tons of custard. Would highly recommend you try this pub for gorgeous home made food in a lovely friendly setting.
We booked a table for 3 for the coaching inn South Molton, We ordered 3 drinks and was told immediately afterwards that we had 5 minutes to place a food order in, this I was not told at the time of booking, we didn 't have a lot of time to get organised for another meal somewhere else due to the fact at being ill treated by all staff and a customer with foul language, I was even threatened by Jack the chef with leave these Fxxxxxx premises before I break your Fxxxxxx neck who has always in the past been very friendly and helpful, we are classed as regulars. So disgusted, we will never return again to the coaching inn South Molton and our business as well as our family and recommendations have been lost. A very disappointing night
Haven't been in since COVID. Only had a ham sandwich, chips, salad and a couple of drinks. Beautiful ham from local butcher, freshly cooked chips and a lovely mixed salad. Great value and friendly. Will come back to try the Sunday lunch.
We ordered Ham, egg, chips and scampie and chips. Nothing outstanding obviously frozen food for the convenience. The pub itself is scruffy with empty drink glasses left outside. On a positive...the bar person was lovely and obviously surprised to have around 10 tourists popping in for dinner. However, it is a popular locals pub which was entertaining listening to their banter whilst sat at the bar.
Only a couple of pubs open on a quiet Sunday evening. A friendly welcome by the barmaid. Nice looking pub inside, clearly popular with locals. A decent pint of a local real ale.
