Under the disability and discrimination act the LAW states that all business including Hotels, Pubs, Restaurants, Bars, Shops MUST NOT stop or restrict in any way the person in anyway from entering the premises and the it is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE to stop this. It is also against the LAW for ANY Hotel to charge any type of extra money for Guide or Service Dogs to stay in any room with their owerns which includes any type of cleaning fee and a owner with a service dog is permitted to stay in any room regardless if its pet friendly or not. They are Working dogs and NOT pets. This Pub/Hotel is breaking the law by not allowing my wifes Guide/Service into a room thats not dog friendly and would have made us pay an extra £10 per night cleaning fee. To the management and all staff i would consider you read and learn the disability and discrimination act before breaking the law in future otherwise next time it will go the legal route.
Stopped off at this pub after visiting the Claysmore Supercar Show. There were 4 of us were looking for somewhere to eat on our way home. That was until we had the worst welcoming from a landlady ever! The pub was practically empty when we arrived now I know why. This woman should definitely not be running a pub needs some lessons in customer service. Never met anyone so rude aggressive. We promptly left drove to the Stocks pub which was packed so they were rushed off their feet but still had time to give us a lovely welcome so would highly recommend this pub. If you are driving past the True Lovers knot keep going!
Very helpful landlady. Excellent choice for vegetarians or gluten intolerance. Good size portions and tasty food.
Lovely lunchtime meal here, best vegan main course I’ve had in a pub for a long time- and reasonably priced too! Local to the Bradbury Rings for a good walk.
Called in for a light lunch and chose salt pepper squid and halloumi fries both good. There’s a choice of real ales and the Fursty Ferret was in excellent condition and very reasonable at £4.10 a pint. The car park is at the rear and there is a small field for camping/caravans.
