The scone was baked perfectly, not underdone, and came with delicious jam and cream. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Afterward, we went to the connected butcher shop to buy a roast and other goodies, as well as fruits and vegetables. It was convenient to be able to get everything we needed in one place.
Six of us recently enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea at this restaurant. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, with tasty sandwiches, prawns in Marie Rose sauce, mini sausage rolls, mini scones, and sweet treats. We had plenty of tea and coffee, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended for a lovely experience.
I called ahead to check if the butcher had any lamb legs available and was informed that they did, but was advised not to wait too long to come in. Arriving within thirty minutes, I requested a lamb leg only to be told that none had been pre-cut and that I would have to return later. The young man assisting me appeared embarrassed when I mentioned my previous phone call. He informed a senior butcher who reluctantly prepared a piece for me, which turned out to be about 30% bone, including pelvic bone - not what one would typically expect in a lamb leg. The quality of the lamb itself was average at best. I have never encountered a butcher who seemed hesitant to prepare meat or requested that I return at a more convenient time for them. Furthermore, the price was not cheap for such mediocre meat. This was not the first time I had experienced this kind of service, as a similar situation occurred last Christmas when I was told to come in person to order a ham joint, only to be informed upon arrival that there were none left. I will not be returning to this establishment.
I recently witnessed the absolute cheek of an operations manager/manager called Nicola to an employee, the disgusting behaviour towards said employee was unspeakable. Also I was informed that employees are not “ALLOWED” to wear gloves while packaging meat!! During the height of a pandemic!!! Absolutely appalling behaviour!!!!
Went for my breakfast while I my son was a school it was my first time visiting the place. The coffee shop has a lovely welcoming feel! Very clean and comfortable. The staff are really friendly and chatty from walk in -to paying the bill.I ordered the french toast and bacon with maple syrup. Diet Coke and a coffee and it was really good! I definitely come here again! Well done girls! Great service!!
