Don't expect express service as everything is cooked fresh for each customer. Never had any food which wasn't 100% delicious. Afternoon teas are superb but need to be booked in advance.
Popped in here for lunch with my other half. We both fancied a toasted sandwich. The food took a while to arrive considering the order was so simple and the place wasn't even half full. The toasted sandwiches were fine, a little greasy but tasted fine. The rest of the menu looked reasonably priced. The cakes and gateaux on display looked delicious so maybe a good place for afternoon tea? The staff were perfectly pleasant if not particularly quick. The table, crockery and cutlery were clean although the decor is rather tired and disjointed.
A little gem in Eckington, good service and food was excellent . The homemade quiche was lovely. Reasonably priced, lovely cozy place for meeting friends for lunch or afternoon tea and a cocktail or two.
We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious Afternoon Tea, everything fresh and tasty. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff very helpful. The little incidental touches of blue to reflect my daughters baby boy's arrival were both touching and appreciated! Many thanks to everyone I would most definitely recommend this place for either a coffee and cake, lunch or A/Tea! We were made to feel welcome and their menu is varied and prices are reasonable Sincere thanks!
Great little place. Have driven past a few times and considered going in, but this time we did. Really nice welcome, the perfect bacon and sausage sandwich and a proper sized pot of tea, and reasonably priced too. Will definitely be making regular trips
