Kwangchow Cuisine

We came here after being it being recommended. We ordered Spicey chicken, stir fried vegetables and the salt and chilli squid. We enjoyed the food and ate it all up! The service was fine and what you would expect at an establishment like this, not too intrusive but attentive asked if food was okay etc. I would definitely come back to try other dishes. Not the cheapest Chinese restaurant I have been to but I guess this is Dunedin!

Hands down ... best Chinese food you will get in Dunedin. Not the cheapest when compared to cheap and cheerful Chinese but worlds apart in terms of quality, and cheaper than your standard Kiwi meal out. Get a group of friends together and GO!

Best Chinese in Dunedin!! You don't come here for the ambiance, or the table cloths, or the perfect western service. You come for the food, and you'll come back for the food! I love that honesty, nothing beats it. Staff is friendly and helpful, will answer all questions about ingredients best they can and will for example, point out which dishes contain MSG and remove if need be. My recommendation is to order from the Chef's specialties, and stay away from the dishes you can get in any Chinese restaurant. My favourites are Braised Pork Belly with brown sauce on broccoli, Fish Stew with pickled cabbage, and any of the eggplant dishes. Also great for takeaways, a real crowd pleaser for the family!
