Loved my visit to The Rooster One Thirty Six in downtown Hartsville! Great location, great service, the food was excellent and my chai latte was fantastic! Will definitely visit again!

I dined here previously under the former ownership. It's still cute and kitchy inside, but the menu is paired down significantly and things don't run as smoothly in my opinion. I thought about dining here for breakfast but nothing appealed to me but the BEC and I couldn't justify nearly $10 for a BEC even with good ingredients. I did dine at lunch and got the power bowl. It was tasty but the kitchen left the crostini off, I didn't bother to say anything. The portion was ample, but I recall it being larger. Service was ok, I waited for 10 minutes after I was done eating to get my check. I never got a refill either. Would I recommend this place? Yes, it's really the only place in Hartsville with a decent lunch. Is there room for improvement? Yes.

My family and I went there. It was my first time ever going there. We were the only ones sitting in the patio area at first. Then Other people came in afterwards. They were served their food before we were. I told the waitress we were just about to leave because it should not have taken that long for a bowl of grits and 2 sausage patties that we both ordered. We were first to arrive and last to be served. Our meal was very basic so it should not have taken long to prepare. The sausage was cooked so hard I could not eat it. The grits were delicious. I’m not sure if I would be going back when I visit this area again. The waitress was very friendly.
