Greggs - North Hertfordshire

I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The tables were filthy and had to be wiped down with anti-bacterial cleaner. The staff did not seem interested in cleanliness. I ended up taking my lunch outside to eat. It was clear that the restaurant is not regularly cleaned, and the bins were overflowing. In the mornings, I noticed that the staff were not using gloves when preparing food, such as bacon rolls, and were handling money with the same hands. It was not a pleasant sight. However, the prices were reasonable and the coffee was good. I would recommend getting take-away from here, but I would not choose to sit in the restaurant again. It would be so easy to keep it clean.

My friends and I were rudely shouted at from across the restaurant and told to either make a purchase or leave, even though two of my friends were already eating food they had bought at Gregg's before we arrived. When we tried to explain this calmly to the staff, we were met with even more rudeness. This behavior is completely unacceptable.

I ordered a slice of margarita pizza and became extremely ill within 3 hours, experiencing continued sickness for several hours. I have reported this to environmental health.

Staff very friendly but the state of the eating areas was disgusting. No clean tables and food everywhere. Nobody attempting to do anything about it. However, when we attempted to use the toilets it made the rest of the place look like a first class hotel. It was absolutely abominable. Toilet paper absolutely covered the floor and we refused to use it and came and complained and the lady apologised and said I would be dealt with immediately and we believe someone did go out to it. I understand it is busy at this time of year, and the customers not always desirable, but it will not do your reputation any good if the front of house is not clean, AND IT WAS FILTHY.

Been in few times before work the decaff cappacino was really good and £1. 65 great value Have sat in couple times first thing in morning but table was bit iffy a decent clean and tidy would make a difference But overall good value as I don't want my name on the cup and all that stuff just nice cup coffee and decent roll before work
