Three Horseshoes - North Hertfordshire

We had been dining at The Fox in Willian for years but found it to be overpriced and not good value, so we decided to try The Three Horseshoes instead. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food at The Three Horseshoes. I ordered the prawn and chorizo skewers with homemade pizza bread and a salad, which were all delicious. However, the so-called 'house salad' was disappointing as it only consisted of a couple of baby lettuce leaves and some rocket with a small drizzle of olive oil. My friend had the veg feast pizza with mushrooms, peppers, and jalapenos, which also looked delicious. The restaurant's decor is basic and the interior is not very spacious, but the food was delightful.

Didn't want to eat in the hotel so went out for a walk and found this homely pub with friendly staff. Service was quick, food and cask ales delicious. Would certainly recommend giving it a try I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

I ordered baked goats cheese and bacon walnuts and cranberry. I got a ladele full of of cold cranberry sauce chucked on a plate with some burnt goats cheese on top with two slices of stale Warburtons style bread. Absolutely disgusting. Then I had pie which had basically been microwaved for too long and was rock hard. Do not eat here.

We had a lovely meal here. Lots of reviewers had mentioned the fish and chips were good. I ordered fish and chips and they were good. Would go again and order them again. My husband ordered the chilli, he loved it. Very pleasant atmosphere and easy parking. Our son in laws 40th birthday party was held there the weekend before. We all had a great time so hence our follow up visit.
