The food at this restaurant was incredibly tasty! However, the server taking orders was not very friendly. She failed to repeat the order back, leading to a mistake in my order. It seemed like she wasn't paying attention and just wanted to rush through the process. I hope this doesn't happen again in the future, as I did enjoy the food.
I have never experienced such delicious consommé de birria before. My friend MacReeves and I wanted a light meal because it was extremely hot (about 100 degrees Fahrenheit) in the Valley and only a hungry beast could eat a full lunch in such weather. We decided to share a taco dorado, vampiro, and a mulita (the last two were corn tortillas with melted cheese and crispy birria cooked on the griddle). We dipped each bite into the rich consommé, enhancing the savory goodness of each dish. The pickled red onion and red chili salsa added a spicy and acidic kick to the already flavorful explosion in our mouths. While MacReeves wished he had ordered more, I told him it's best to leave yourself wanting more. Pro-Tip: Later that night, we dipped hot pizza slices into reheated consommé and it turned out to be the culinary sensation of the year - like a French dip sandwich on steroids.
